October 23, 2026 Video Auction
CattleLink’s first-ever video auction was a great success, and we’re grateful to everyone who took the time to watch, bid, and be a part of it.
Our inaugural sale featured 55 preconditioned steer calves out of Friona, Texas, that brought $400.00/cwt. We were pleased to see this set bring a strong price, landing toward the upper end of the $350–$400/cwt range seen in comparable local markets for steers of similar weights.
As we turn the corner into fall, recent rains, improving pasture conditions, and softening corn prices across parts of the Texas Panhandle are supporting a strong local demand. Buyers are also paying close attention to health and weaning programs as the weather gets colder, making calves that are weaned 60+ days and fully vaccinated an attractive option heading into the season.
We’re proud to have kicked off CattleLink with a strong first sale and look forward to helping more local producers market their cattle with confidence.
